Hello! My name is Jana Skerlak; I was born in Basel, Switzerland. I've had a passion for photography since I can remember, so after a few years of working in the Tourism Industry, I decided to start janavisions in 2009.

I moved out to Canada in 2003, and completed a Diploma of Computer Information Systems at the Okanagan University College in Kelowna, BC in 2005. I'd been writing personal websites for a couple of years prior to that and hence decided to make Computer Science my area of study.

Trying to find a balance between being inside and being outdoors, I looked in the Tourism Industry for work. In 2006, I completed the Northern Outdoor Recreation and Ecotourism Program in Valemount, BC and worked in several tourism-related occupations.

Today, I combine all my interests into a job that challenges my creativity as well as my love for the technical side of things.
